A Christmas Story🌲🎁...

A lovely story I read

Hope you can share it with your kids too

A Christmas Story🌲🎁...

GRANDMA & SANTA CLAUS

I remember my first Christmas adventure with Grandma. I was just a kid...
I remember tearing across town on my bike to visit her on the day my big sister dropped the bomb:
"There is no Santa Claus," she jeered. "Even dummies know that!"

My Grandma was not the gushy kind, never had been. I fled to her that day because I knew she would be straight with me. I knew Grandma always told the truth, and I knew that the truth always went down a whole lot easier when swallowed with one of her "world-famous" cinnamon buns. I knew they were world-famous, because Grandma said so. It had to be true.
Grandma was home, and the buns were still warm. Between bites, I told her everything.
She was ready for me. "No Santa Claus?" she snorted..."Ridiculous! Don't believe it. That rumor has been going around for years, and it makes me mad, plain mad!! Now, put on your coat, and let's go."

"Go? Go where, Grandma?" I asked. I hadn't even finished my second world-famous cinnamon bun. "Where" turned out to be Kerby's General Store, the one store in town that had a little bit of just about everything.
As we walked through its doors, Grandma handed me ten dollars. That was a bundle in those days.
"Take this money," she said, "and buy something for someone who needs it. I'll wait for you in the car." Then she turned and walked out of Kerby's.

I was only eight years old. I'd often gone shopping with my mother, but never had I shopped for anything all by myself. The store seemed big and crowded, full of people scrambling to finish their Christmas shopping.
For a few moments I just stood there, confused, clutching that ten-dollar bill, wondering what to buy, and who on earth to buy it for.
I thought of everybody I knew: my family, my friends, my neighbours, the kids at school, the people who went to my church.

I was just about thought out, when I suddenly thought of Bobby Decker. He was a kid with bad breath and messy hair, and he sat right behind me in Mrs. Pollock's grade-two class. Bobby Decker didn't have a coat. I knew that because he never went out to recess during the winter. His mother always wrote a note, telling the teacher that he had a cough, but all us kids knew that Bobby Decker didn't have a cough; he didn't have a good coat. I fingered the ten-dollar bill with growing excitement. I would buy Bobby Decker a coat!
I settled on a red corduroy one that had a hood to it. It looked real warm, and he would like that.

"Is this a Christmas present for someone?" the lady behind the counter asked kindly, as I laid my ten dollars down.
"Yes, ma'am," I replied shyly. "It's for Bobby."

The nice lady smiled at me, as I told her about how Bobby really needed a winter coat. I didn't get any change, but she put the coat in a bag, smiled again, and wished me a Merry Christmas.

That evening, Grandma helped me wrap the coat (a little tag fell out of the coat, and Grandma tucked it in her Bible) in Christmas paper and ribbons and wrote, "To Bobby, From Santa Claus" on it.

Grandma said that Santa always insisted on secrecy. Then she drove me over to Bobby Decker's house, explaining as we went that I was now and forever officially, one of Santa's helpers.
Grandma parked down the street from Bobby's house, and she and I crept noiselessly and hid in the bushes by his front walk.
Then Grandma gave me a nudge. "All right, Santa Claus," she whispered, "get going."

I took a deep breath, dashed for Bobby's front door, dropped the present down on his step, pounded his door and flew back to the safety of the bushes and Grandma.
Together we waited breathlessly in the darkness for the front door to open. Finally it did, and there stood Bobby...

Fifty years haven't dimmed the thrill of those moments spent shivering, beside my Grandma, in Bobby Decker's bushes.
That night, I realized that those awful rumours about Santa Claus were just what Grandma said they were -- ridiculous. Santa was alive and well, and we were on his team.

I still have that Bible, with the coat tag tucked inside: $19.95...That store clerk was one of Santa's helpers, too!😊

May you always have LOVE to share,
HEALTH to spare and
FRIENDS who care.

And may you always believe in the magic of Santa Claus!💝💫🌟

Are we ✔or✖ *Right or Wrong*

Five men got lost in a vast forest. They tried to find their way out.

The first man said, “I will *follow my intuition* and go left.”

The second man said, “I will *go right*. I have a strong feeling about this.”

The third man said, “I think I will *walk back* the same path we came. This should be the safest option.”

The fourth man said: “I think we are on the *right track already*, so I will keep going straight. I am sure this forest will end and I will find a village or a farm to ask for directions.”

The fifth man said, “I don’t know what to do. I think I will *climb up this tall tree* and take a better look around before I make up my mind.”

So the fifth man did that. While he was climbing, the other four men scattered towards their own directions. The fifth man now could see from above what was the shortest way to a village. He thought that the others should not have chosen the paths they did. He was wrong, though.

Each man chose his own path and gained a different experience. The man who went left, found a long path but in the end, it led him to the town.

The man who went right, had to fight a pack of wolves, but this way he learned how to survive in the forest.

The man who went back, met another team of hikers and he made new friends.

The man who went straight, found indeed a farm and was hosted by the family for a couple of days before leaving for the village.

Everyone was *enriched in their own unique way* by the journey.

Some reflections on this story...

*What if, there are no "right" or "wrong" decisions?*

Could it be that every decision offers us new experiences, which in turn offers us innumerable *further opportunities for growth?*

It has taken every decision of our life to bring us to where we are right now. In the fullness of the present, are we really in the wrong place? Even if it feels so, can we be sure?

What if there are no *mistakes*? Only *opportunities?*

Who hurts you!!

**

_When Abraham Lincoln became the president of America, his father was a shoemaker.  And, naturally, egoistic people were very much offended that a shoemaker’s son should become the president.   On the first day, as Abraham Lincoln entered to give his inaugural address, just in the middle, one man stood up.  He was a very rich aristocrat.  He said, “Mr. Lincoln, you should not forget that your father used to make shoes for my family.”  And the whole Senate laughed; they thought that they had made a fool of Abraham Lincoln._

_But certain people are made of a totally different mettle. Lincoln looked at the man directly in the eye and said, *“Sir, I know that my father used to make shoes for your family, and there will be many others here because he made shoes the way nobody else can”. He was a creator. His shoes were not just shoes; he poured his whole soul into them. I want to ask you, have you any complaint? Because I know how to make shoes myself. If you have any complaint I can make you another pair of shoes. But as far as I know, nobody has ever complained about my father’s shoes. He was a genius, a great creator and I am proud of my father”.*_

_The whole Senate was struck dumb. They could not understand what kind of man Abraham Lincoln was. He was proud because his father did his job so well, with so much enthusiasm, such a passion, and perfection._

*_It does not matter what you do. What matters is how you do it of your own accord, with your own vision, with your own love.  Then whatever you touch becomes gold._*

*Moral*

_No one can hurt you without your consent. It is not what happens to us that hurts us. It is our response that hurts us._

*“Ships don’t sink because of the water around them; ships sink because of the water that gets in them. Don’t let what’s happening around you get inside you and weigh you down”*
WONDERFUL PIECE FOR THE VERY MATURE MIND.

Know your worth

A father before he died said to his son: “this is a watch your grandfather gave and this is more than 200 years old, but before I give it to you go to the watch shop on the first street, and tell him I want to sell it, and see how much it is”. He went and then came back to his father, and said, "the watchmaker paid 5 dollars because it's old”. He said to him : “go to the coffee shop”. He went and then came back, and said: “He paid $5 father”. “Go to the museum and show that watch”. He went then came back, and said to his father “They offered me a million dollars for this piece”. The father said: “I wanted to let you know that the right place values your value in a way right, don't put yourself in the wrong place and get angry if you don't. Who knows your value is who appreciates you, don't stay in a place that doesn't suit you".

Know your worth.

Wg.Cdr Nasir Hanfee (Rtd)

A delightful story of one of our greatest scientists:.   By Wg.Cdr Nasir Hanfee (Rtd)
27 July was death anniversary of Dr Abdul Kalam , one of the greatest scientists India was fortunate to have .I can't resist sharing this story.

This was way back in 1998. Our PSLV missile programme was in full swing . But it was being done clandestinely to avoid detection by US spy satellites . The programme director was Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, who we did not recognise at that time .

The cryogenic engines used were secretly shipped to Chennai port from where they were airlifted by our heavy lift helicopter..

If this helicopter was to fly straight from Chennai , it would have taken only 2 hours to reach the launchsite.  But to avoid detection by US satellites,  a zig zag route was worked out involving long halts at unscheduled places. A 2 hour flight due to this would take us 8 hrs of flying and 8 hours halt, but ensure no detection - a small price to pay.

Due to heavy load , our passenger carrying capacity was significantly reduced . We were able to carry only 12 supporting staff from missile programme , including 2 sweepers to sweep and mop the constantly leaking fuel and oil from cryogenic engine. All 12 names were approved from highest echelon of government of India and the director was allowed only to change 2 sweepers, if required.

On the day of our departure, a gentleman with long grey hair approached us . " I have missed my flight and I have no choice but to travel with you all because I am required at launchsite " we had to refuse him because the names were cleared from high up and we could  neither make any changes , nor carry any extra passenger.

Just when we were about to start up , this man came to us running " Captain, the project director has kindly agreed to replace a sweeper with me . Here is authorisation. Please take me on board " The Captain said Ok and he jumped on board like a happy child .

Our second halt was about 4 hours long. As we were sipping our tea , we saw this gentleman sweeping and wiping the floor . We saw Some of the senior scientists ran to him and have animated conversation but he continued doing his job.

One of the scientists then approached the Captain and requested him to order the sweeper not to sweep !!! " sir he is our project director , Dr APJ Abdul Kalam and you have to stop him please "

We were shell shocked . The Captain approached him but he simply said " I am travelling in the capacity of a sweeper and no one can stop me from doing my job "

At a loss as to how to deal with this situation , we remained passive spectator. On our next halt too , he did his duty. His simplicity bowled us over.

We dropped the men and machine at drop site and bid him good bye .

Many years later I recieved an invitation from Presidents house to visit Mughal Gardens to see how much work he had done on it and judge if he was a better maali or a better sweeper. I sent my regrets as I was out of country.

I met him after he retired as President and he remembered the episode .

Tributes to one of the greatest Indians I have ever met .

Karma - Story shared by Mom in Law

*What Is KARMA*?

A small story which beautifully illustrates that what you sow, you reap.

Once upon a time there was a small time business man from a small village who used to sell butter in the nearby town.

A big shop owner in the town was his regular customer.

The villager used to deliver every month the shop owner the required butter in 1 kg blocks and in turn he used to get grocery items like sugar, pulses etc from the big shop owner.

Once the shop owner decided to weigh the butter and to his surprise every block of butter weighed 900 gms.
instead of 1kg.

Next month when the villager came to deliver  butter,
the angry shop owner told him how he was cheated and told to leave the shop.

To this the villager replied to him courteously,
Sir,
I am a very poor villager.
I don't have enough money to even buy the required weights for weighing the butter.
I usually put the 1kg sugar you give me on one side of weighing scale and weigh butter on another side.

This simple story very beautifully illustrates that what we give to others comes back to us.
           *That is karma!*

Rs 7 - Person of Values

The Nobel Laureate Prof. C. V. Raman after retirement wished to open a Research Institute in Bangalore.

So he gave an advertisement in the newspapers for recruiting three physicists.

Lots of eager Scientists applied thinking that even if they were not selected, they would at least get an opportunity to meet the Nobel Laureate.

In the preliminary selection, five candidates were selected and the final interview was to be taken by Prof. C V Raman himself.

Three were selected out of the five.

Next day Prof. Raman was taking a walk and found one young man waiting to meet him.

He realized that it was the same man who was not selected.

The Prof.  asked him what was the problem and he replied that there was no problem at all, but after finishing the interview the office had paid him ₹7 extra than his claim and he wanted to return it.

But because the accounts had closed, they could not take back the amount and asked him to enjoy.

The man said that it is not right for him to accept the money which did not belong to him.

Prof. C V Raman told him, so you wish to return the ₹7 and he took the money from him.

After going few  steps forward the Prof. asked the young man to meet him the next day at 10.30 am. The man was happy that he would get an opportunity to meet the great man again.

When he met the Prof.  next day the Nobel Laureate told the young man "son, you failed in the Physics test but you have passed the honesty test. So I have created another post for you".

The young man was surprised and very happy to join.

Later on he too became a Nobel Laureate in 1983. This young man was *Prof. Subrahmanyan Chandrashekhar*(US Citizen of Indian Origin)

He has written a book on how the seven rupees changed his life.

*This was how Honesty made a Great Scientist*.

What is lacking in Talent can most often be made up for, with Hard work, guidance and help from others, BUT, what is lacking in Character and Values can’t be made up for with anything Ever.

*MORAL“ *Don’t try to be a person of Success, but always be a Person of Value* “.❄❄

Real Attitude, #Bill #Gates

🤔Someone asked Bill Gates, "Is there any person richer than you?"

He said, "YES!, only one. Many years ago, I had been dismissed and I had gone to New York airport. I read titles of newspapers there. I liked one of them and I want to buy it. But I didn't have money. So abandoned the idea, suddenly, a black boy called me and told me, “This news paper for you.” I said, but I don’t have money. He said, “No problem, I give you for free”.
After 3 months, I went there. Coincidentally, that story happened again and that same boy gave me another free newspaper again. I said, I can’t accept it. But he said, “I give you from my profit.”
After 19 years, I had been rich and I decided to find that boy. I found him after one and half month's search. I asked him, do you know me? He said, “Yes!, you’re famous, Bill Gates.”
I said, you gave me free newspaper 2 times many years ago. Now, I want to compensate it. I am going to give you everything that you want. Black young man replied, “You can’t compensate it!”
I said, why? He said, "Because I gave you even  when I was poor. But, you want to give me when you are rich. So, how do you compensate?"
Bill Gates said, I think that black young man is richer than me."
You don't have to be rich or wait to be rich to give......

Real attitude of *Giving* is.....even when you *lack/poor/suffering*! 🙂🙏

You're worth it.

We don't need to seek for the answers outside of ourselves because we have all the inner wisdom we could ever need.  We know our pain best and we know how to move through it.

Sometimes it helps to have someone coach you through by holding the mirror steady for you to see yourself...really see yourself.

You have permission to heal in any way that feels good to you.  Dance it out. Write it out. Swim it out. Travel it out. Talk it out. Hug it out. Just get it out.

You don't need to explain it or make it make sense to anyone. Your healing is unique to you.  Focus on you. You're worth it.

#Communicate with #God

A Construction Supervisor from 16th Floor of a Building was calling a Worker on Ground Floor.

Because of noice,
the Worker
did not Hear his Call.

To draw Attention,
the Supervisor threw a 10 Rupee Note
in Front of Worker.

He picked up the Note, put it in His Pocket &
Continued to Work.

Again to Draw Attention m.Supervisor now threw 500 Rupee Note & the Worker did the same,

Now the Supervisor picked a small Stone & threw on the Worker.

The Stone hit the Worker.

This time the Worker looked Up &
the Supervisor Communicated with Him.
.
.
This Story is same as of our 'LIFE'...

Lord from Up,
wants to Communicate with Us,
but We are Busy doing our Worldly Jobs.

Then, God give Us Small Gifts & big gifts
We just keep it without Seeing
from Where We Got it.
We are the Same.
Just keep
without Thanking God, We just say
We are LUCKY.

Then when We are Hit with a Small Stone, which We call PROBLEMS,
then We look Up & Communicate with God.

#Gadgets to Upgrade

One Sunday morning, a wealthy man sat in his balcony enjoying sunshine and his coffee when a little ant caught his eye which was going from one side to the other side of the balcony carrying a big leaf several times more than its size. The man watched it for more than an hour. He saw that the ant faced many obstacles during its journey, paused, took a diversion and then continued towards destination.

At one point the tiny creature came across a crack in the floor. It paused for a little while, analyzed and then laid the huge leaf over the crack, walked over the leaf, picked the leaf on the other side then continued its journey.

The man was captivated by the cleverness of the ant, one of God’s tiniest creatures. The incident left the man in awe and forced him to contemplate over the miracle of Creation. It showed the Greatness of the Creator. In front of his eyes there was this tiny creature of God, lacking in size yet equipped with a brain to analyze, contemplate, reason, explore, discover and overcome.

A while later the man saw that the creature had reached its destination – a tiny hole in the floor which was entrance to its underground dwelling. And it was at this point that the ant’s shortcoming that it shared with the man was revealed.

How could the ant carry into the tiny hole the large leaf that it had managed to carefully bring to the destination? It simply couldn't!

So the tiny creature, after all the painstaking and hard work and exercising great skills, overcoming all the difficulties along the way, just left behind the large leaf and went home empty-handed.

The ant had not thought about the end before it began its challenging journey and in the end the large leaf was nothing more than a burden to it. The creature had no option, but to leave it behind to reach its destination. The man learned a great lesson that day.

That is the truth about our lives too.
We worry about our family, we worry about our job, we worry about how to earn more money, we worry about where we should live, what kind of vehicle to buy, what kind of dresses to wear, what gadgets to upgrade......only to abandon all these things when we reach our destination –
The Grave.

We don’t realize in our life’s journey that these are just burdens that we are carrying with utmost care and fear of losing them, only to find that at the end they are useless and we can’t take them with us.....

#President Xi #Jing_Peng of #China

President Xi Jing Peng of China said:
.
As a small child , I was very selfish, always grabbing the best for myself.🙄
Slowly, everyone left me and I had no friends. I didn’t think it was my fault and I criticize others.🤔
.
But my father gave me 3 sentences to help me in life.🤨
.
One day, my father cooked 2 bowls of noodles and  put them. on the table.🤔
One had an egg on top while the other bowl had none on top.🙂
Then he asked me to choose a bowl of noodles 🍜 .

Because eggs were hard to come by those days.... I chose the bowl with egg! 🙂🙂🙂

I was congratulating myself on my wise choice/decision and decided to wallop the egg....to my surprise as my father's bowl of noodles had two eggs at the bottom of his bowl beneath the noodles ! 😀 😀

With much regret, I scolded myself for being too hasty in my decision.🤔🤔

My father smiled and taught me to remember that  what your eyes see may not be true😇 .

He added that If you make a habit of *taking advantage of people, you will end up losing😇
.
The next day, my father again cooked 2 bowls of noodles: one bowl with an egg on top and the other bowl with no egg on top.

Again, he asked to choose the bowl I wanted🤔

This time I felt smarter so I chose the bowl without any egg on top.🙂

Hmmmmmm to my surprise, there was not even a single egg at the bottom of the bowl!😱

Again, my father smiled and said to me, My child, you must not always rely on experiences because sometimes, life can cheat you or play tricks on you.

Never  be too annoyed or sad, with situations, *just treat experience as learning a lesson experience that  cannot be gotten  from any  textbooks.🤔🤔🙂
.
The third day, my father again cooked 2 bowls of noodles,  one bowl with an egg on top and the other with no egg on top.🤔🤨

He asked me to choose the bowl I wanted 🤔.

But  this time, I told my father, Dad, you choose first, you are the head of the family and you contribute the most to the family.

My father was happy to and choose for me🙌🏽🙌🏽t

He chose the bowl with one egg on top, but as I ate my bowl of noodles, to my surprise! There were two eggs at the bottom of the bowl.👍🏽🙂
.
My father smiled at me with love in his eyes, he said my child, you must remember that when you think for the good of others, good things will always naturally happen to you😇
.
I always remember these 3 sentences of my father

#God has His #eye

There was a group of women in a Bible Study on the book of Malachi. As they were studying chapter three, they came across verse three, which says: "He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver. "This verse puzzled the women and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God.

One of the women offered to find out the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible Study. That week, this woman called up a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn't mention anything about the reason for her interest beyond her curiosity about the process of refining silver.

As she watched the silversmith, he held a piece of silver over the fire and let it heat up. He explained that in refining silver, one needed to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames were hottest as to burn away all the impurities. The woman thought about God holding us in such a hot spot then she thought again about the verse, that "He sits as a refiner and purifier of silver." She asked the silversmith if it was true that he had to sit there in front of the fire the whole time the silver was being refined. The man answered that yes, he not only had to sit there holding the silver, but he had to keep his eyes on the silver the entire time it was in the fire. If the silver was left a moment too long in the flames, it would be destroyed.

The woman was silent for a moment. Then she asked the silversmith, how do you know when the silver is fully refined? He smiled at her and answered, "Oh, that's easy - when I see my image in it."

If today you are feeling the heat of the fire, remember that God has His eye on you and will keep watching you until He sees His image in you.

It is Within You

We are ruled by our limiting beliefs
Too often we believe we are not good enough; something is not working for us and it needs to be fixed; something is missing; and something special needs to be added to make it worthwhile. These limiting beliefs often hide the wealth within.

This story will explain...

A young man inherited a statue of clay, which was in the possession of his family for ages. He was feeling ashamed to show it up proudly to anyone. Wished it was of gold, so when he did earn some wealth, he had the statue gold plated, as it was made to look the way he wanted.

Over a period of time flakes of gold started peeling off from the statue. He began to spend more and more time and money on maintaining it. Was growing very frustrated.

One day his grandfather came, the young man showed him the statue, feeling rather embarrassed and ashamed because of it disheveled appearance, of clay somewhere flakes of gold somewhere.

The grandfather who knew the statue well,  recognised the statue and started to rub it with aoist cloth. After roving the clay, he said, "Many many years ago, this statue must have fallen in mud and clay, to cover it up completely and they must have forgotten to wipe or wash it, and so it must have become covered. You wouldn't know."

Saying this he began to rub the statue even more vigorously and as he did so he began to remove the stuck clay and the bright yellow metal started to appear.

"The grandfather then told the grandson, "Underneath the clay statue has been one of solid gold from the beginning. You didn't have to put more gold on it. From now on all you have to do to show up gold is to remove any clay or dust that settles on it."

Like the clay on the gold statue, poor vision, limiting beliefs, negative thoughts, self doubts, poor excuses and habits hide the wealth within which undermines our desire and ability to perform well, to succeed. These obstacles are like the anchor at the bottom of the sea, holding up everyove we make. Removing them sets our inner resources free.

Performance is better more often by understanding ourselves well from within, and from constantly - learning, unlearning, relearning, being curious, creative, innovative, being interested and by being present 100% every moment.

What are you waiting for then, start unearthing the gold lying hidden inside each of you.

Swami Vivekananda

Beautiful explanation by Swami Vivekananda:

Explaining the meaning of ‘Association’. He said:

“The rain drop from the sky, if it is caught in hands is pure enough for drinking. If it falls in gutter, it’s value drops so much that it can’t be used for washing the feet. If it falls on hot surface, it perishes. If it falls on lotus leaf, it shines like a pearl and finally, if it falls on oyster, it becomes a pearl. The drop is same, but it’s existence & worth depends on with whom it associates.”

#Relationships

The relationship that drives people crazy with anger and frustration are from a past life. These are the people who really get under your skin and exasperate you endlessly. Very often, these karmic relationships are with people in your immediate family.

Karmic relationships mean that you’ve had prior lifetimes with this person, and you both were sent back to be together to work things out peacefully. This was your soul’s choice, although it was probably highly pushed upon you by your guides and angels who helped you script out much of your life. Usually a karmic relationship is someone with whom you had a battle or other harsh circumstances. You returned together in this lifetime to ensure that you’d work things out, and clear both of your energies.

If you don’t clear the energies in this lifetime, you’ll be pressured to continue to incarnate with this soul again and again and again.

And each lifetime, his or her relationship to you will continue to be close, either through genetics and familial bonds, or through friendship, marriage, or career. So, that annoying co-worker could be your mother or husband next lifetime unless you clear the energy with her in this one.

You’re brought together with the other soul so that you can forgive him or her. This doesn’t mean forgiving their actions. It means detoxing your soul by releasing anger toward them. You don’t have to hang out with the person, but you do need to release old pent-up toxic feelings. Holding in old anger is caustic and unhealthful.

It’s also a waste of time and energy to blame that person for family dramas and your own upset. Blaming is a projection of our ego, where we don’t own our own shadows and ego issues, and we put them in the basket labeled: “It’s their fault.” And while it may be true that that person is the instigator of traumas, blaming him or her doesn’t help the situation and doesn’t balance the karma between you.

Breaking the Karmic Cycle

The first step to break this karmic cycle is for you to take responsibility for its presence in your life. Your soul agreed to be with this person because it was necessary for your spiritual progress. So forgiving yourself is the ultimate secret to healing everything in all directions of time.

This involves forgiving yourself for entering this relationship whenever you did in the distant past lifetime. You probably were given red-flag warnings by your angels then, which you chose to ignore or override. Forgive yourself for ignoring those red flags, and vow to listen from now on. Life lessons only count if we learn from them.

You get infuriated by how this person behaves. But this is how this individual’s personality works and has always worked. You were the one who chose to try to be in a relationship with him or her long, long ago. You were the one who decided that all of those red flags that your angel sent you didn’t matter. You were the one who decided that you could change or fix the person.

Now it’s time to let go of that fantasy that this person could be as you desire or dream him or her to be. You’re not the other person’s Source, nor are you the author of his or her life scripts.

Karmic relationships are akin to having a tug-of-war. They’re power plays, where one person will pull and the other person will pull back. No one wins in karmic power plays. But when one person drops his or her side of the rope (through the process of forgiving him- or herself for getting into this tug-of-war in the first place), the power struggle stops.

Keep Going

The journey might be long ..
Keep on walking ....
If you fall, get back up....
Don’t let the fall decide your final destination and hold you to the ground ...
You are not a tree , you can move....
Dust your doubts off and keep going...
Because when you know what is important to you - you know what to ignore , what to choose and surely what to chase ....
So Keep Going till you reach where you want to Be ...

Not only Classic but Epic

An engineer was removing the engine parts from a motorcycle.
Suddenly he saw a famous heart surgeon in his shop. He went to him & said.. "Look at this engine... I opened its heart, took the valves out, repaired and put them back"...So why do I get such a small salary? and u get huge sums....!

Celebrate Life.

Once there was a king who received a gift of two magnificent falcons from Arabia.
He gave the precious birds to his head falconer to get them  trained. Months passed and one day the head falconery informed the king .....that though one of the falcons was flying majestically, soaring high in the sky, the other bird had not moved from its branch since the day it had arrived.
The king summoned healers and sorcerers from all the land to tend to the falcon, but no one could make the bird fly. He presented the task to the member of his court, but the next day, the king saw through the palace window that the bird had still not moved from its branch.
Having tried everything else, the king thought to himself... "May be I need someone more familiar with the countryside to understand the nature of this problem." So he cried out to his court, "Go and get a farmer."
In the morning the king was thrilled to see the falcon soaring high above the palace gardens. He said to his court, "Bring me the doer of this miracle."
The court quickly located the farmer, who came and stood before the king. The king asked him, "How did you make the falcon fly?"
With his head bowed, the farmer said to the king, "
It was very easy, your highness......I simply cut the branch where the bird was sitting."

We are all made to fly ...
to realise our incredible potential as human beings..... But at times we sit in our branches, clinging to the things that are familiar to us. The possibilities are endless, but for most of us, they remain undiscovered.
We confine to the familiar,
'comfort zone', so most part of our lives are mediocre... instead of being exciting, thrilling and fulfilling...
So let us learn to destroy the branch of laziness or fear we cling to and free ourselves to the glory of flight!!!
Celebrate Life.

Never Regret

A wise old man was sitting at the river bank when he saw a cat that had fallen into the water, flailing around, trying to save itself from drowning.
The man decided to save the cat. He stretched his hand out but was scratched by the cat. He pulled his hand back in pain.
However, a minute later he stretched his hand out again to save the cat, but it scratched him again, and again he pulled his hand back in pain.
Another minute later he was yet again trying for the third time!!
A man, who was nearby watching what was happening, yelled out: "O wise man, you have not learned your lesson the first time, nor the second time, and now you are trying to save the cat a third time?"
The wise man paid no heed to that man's scolding, and kept on trying until he managed to save the cat.
He then walked over to the man, and patted his shoulder saying: "My son.. it is in the cat's nature to scratch, and it is in my nature to love and have sympathy. Why do you want me to let the cat's nature overcome mine !?!!
Treat people according to your nature, not according to theirs, no matter what they are like and no matter how numerous are their actions that harm you and cause you hurt sometimes.
And do not pay heed to all the voices that loudly call out to you to leave behind your good qualities merely because the other party is not deserving of your noble actions.
So never regret the moments you gave happiness to someone, even if that person did not deserve it.

Student Learns of a #Greed

A student asked his teacher, “What is Greed?” The teacher said, “In order to answer your question, go through the chocolate factory next to our school and pick the one chocolate you like the most. But there is a rule. As you pass through the factory, you can not turn back. You must pick the chocolate as you go forward only.”

The student went to the chocolate factory. As he walked through, He saw the one chocolate wrapped nicely, he instantly liked it but he wondered that he may find much bigger one further. So, He walked further, then he saw another chocolate. But again, he thought the same. When he started to reach near the end of the factory, he couldn’t see any chocolates as big as the one he didn’t pick earlier and started to regret his decision of letting it go.

Finally, he gave up. He went back to the teacher with an empty hand and gave an explanation of what he did.

The teacher told him, “You did like the one chocolate very much but still you kept looking for a bigger one. And later you realized that what you let go off was the best chocolate you could find there. That my dear is called Greed.”

Moral: We let go of many good things in our life because of our greed of having even better things. Our Human Nature is such that we always want better and better. But in the search of better, we let go of many good things which could have given us similar satisfaction and made us happy. Learn make your choice wisely.

Choose what you fight for wisely

I once asked a very successful woman to share her secret with me. She smiled and said to me..

"I started succeeding when I started leaving small fights for small fighters.
I stopped fighting those who gossiped about me...
I stopped fighting with my in laws...
I stopped fighting for attention...
I stopped fighting to meet peoples expectation of me...
I stopped fighting for my rights with inconsiderate people..
I stopped fighting to please everyone...
I stopped fighting to prove they were wrong about me....
I left such fights for those who have nothing else to fight...

And I started fighting for
my vision,
my dreams,
my ideas and
my destiny.

The day I gave up on small fights is the day I started becoming successful & so much more content."

Some fights are not worth your time..... Choose what you fight for wisely.

Never listen with a predetermined notion

A teacher teaching Maths to seven-year-old Arnav asked him, "If I give you one apple and one apple and one apple, how many apples will you have?" Within seconds Arnav replied confidently, "Four!"

The dismayed teacher was expecting an effortless correct answer (three).  She was disappointed.  "Maybe the child did not listen properly," she thought.  She repeated, "Arnav, listen carefully.  If I give you one apple and one apple and one apple, how many apples will you have?"

Arnav had seen the disappointment on his teacher's face.  He calculated again on his fingers. This time hesitatingly he replied, "Four…"

The disappointment stayed on the teacher's face.  She remembered that Arnav liked strawberries.  She thought maybe he doesn't like apples and that is making him loose focus.

This time with an exaggerated excitement and twinkling in her eyes she asked, "If I give you one strawberry and one strawberry and one strawberry, then how many you will have?"

Seeing the teacher happy, young Arnav calculated on his fingers again.   With a hesitating smile young Arnav enquired, "Three?"

The teacher now had a victorious smile.  Her approach had succeeded. Once again she asked him, "Now if I give you one apple and one apple and one more apple how many will you have?" Promptly Arnav answered, "Four!"

The teacher was aghast.  "How Arnav, how?" she demanded in a little stern and irritated voice.

In a voice that was low and hesitating young Arnav replied, "Because I already have one apple in my bag."

Moral: When someone gives you an answer that is different from what you expect. Don't think they are wrong. There maybe an angle that you have not understood at all. You will have to listen and understand, but never listen with a predetermined notion.
